Pottery Project

The Pottery Project is funded under the Public Authority and is intended to preserve and restore the traditional pottery styles and craftsmanship of differing areas of Oman.

The pottery styles of Salalah, Taqah and Mirbat, Bahla, and Lima (or Musandam) are uniquely different from one another, using different styles, workmanship, and methods. There are only 55+ potters combined across the four areas from South to North in the entire country.
